BBC Entertainment

Client: BBC Worldwide
Description Of Work: Channel Interstitials

TILT Design was commissioned by Gary Sinclair, Vice President, Creative at BBC Worldwide to produce a series of interstitials for BBC Entertainment. The brief was to produce a group of short films that represented the brand values of BBC Entertainment and could be watched again and again, allowing the viewer to take something different away every time.

TILT created a series of 4 x 90 second films that captured the emotions audiences experienced while watching BBC Entertainment. Across multiple screens it follows people's captivating reactions as they live vicariously through the performances they are watching on television

The films were shot in studio against green screen on Red Camera, with a cast of 36 different characters. Post production was done in-house in After Effects and edited in Final Cut.

Creative Director Edward Dalton said, "... shooting against green screen gave us the ability to control the colours in the backgrounds and reflect the changing emotions of our characters. We captured some excellent performances and the end result was a roller coaster of emotion and vibrant colour that turns the camera on the viewer..."

The interstitials are on air in January 2010.
